About Awbeg Acupuncture Clinic
Awbeg Acupuncture Clinic was founded in 2007. It is one of the few clinics in the north cork that are specialising in acupuncture for women's health.
Couples trying to conceive naturally or through ivf, icisi, iui, low sperm counts, pregnancy related conditions, moxa for breech presentations or posterior lie, pcos, irregular cycles, painful cycles, endometriosis, menopausal symptoms.
A wide variety of other conditions are also treated, some of which include back pain, migraines, shoulder issues, sinus problems, plantar fasciitis, sports related issues and much more. During a consultation a detailed history will be taken and pulses and tongue will be checked to come up with a diagnosis to help treat the condition. A nutritional plan will also be decided on and recommendations given on suitable supplements if required.
In recent months Awbeg Acupuncture Clinic has seen how acupuncture treatments and herbs have helped in the treatment of Long Covid.

Mary is a registered nurse with over 20 years experience in general nursing, she completed a Diploma in Acupuncture and Naturopathic medicine in 2007 with CNM Ireland following 5 years of study. She then went on to study Chinese herbal medicine as well as specialist training in London and Ireland with the Zita West IVF Clinic at Hartley Street, London and Debra Betts who is a world renowned midwife and acupuncturist. Mary also studied Master Tungs acupuncture for infertility and uses this traditional acupuncture in her clinic. Mary also studied extensively in China at the Chengdu university of TCM and working in Chengdu Hospital where she gained valuable experience under the guidance of TCM professors
Mary is a member of AFPA ( acupuncture foundation of Ireland ) and a graduate of Chengdu university of TCM China in acupuncture and tui na massage.
Currently she is studying Qi Gong is hoping to bring this to Awbeg Acupuncture Clinic in 2022.
Mary most recently obtained a Diploma in sports massage and now combines this knowledge with acupuncture in the clinic
